We are pleased to announce that Xavier University of Louisiana's Junior School of Music has decided to feature Lindsey's children's Musical Coloring Book and CD: NURSERY BEATS AND RHYMES this semester. As a result of this dynamic partnership Lindsey will be teaching music classes in their EARLY BIRD program as well as teaching individual voice lessons. I received a nice new Southern soul cut today in the emails. This track from Louisiana-based vocalist Lindsey Papion is mid-tempo soul with a sparse funk undercurrent. Looking at the video (especially considering the Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. speech excerpt), I initially felt Papion’s lyrics rallying for protest. However the phrase, “Let me get that up out ya”, can mean different things. Whether you want respect or money or sex, the phrase, “Let Me Get That Up Out Ya”, can be used. READ MORE
